DC JV SOCCER GAME

So happy for Lindsey today - she got to play on the JV soccer team against BHS (where I went my freshman/sophomore year). Some of the JV girls got moved to Varsity because of Spring Break so the JV coach let all the Freshmen who'd been attending Spring Break practices dress for the JV game. Lindsey started the game as foward in the first half and then only played a few minutes in the second 1/2 but it was nice to give the Freshmen some experience before "their real 1st game" in a few days. Belvidere scored first but then DC tied it and that's how it ended! You played great Linz!

ROBERT'S HIGH SCHOOL PLAY

We got together last night w/ the Babich clan for pizza before heading over to Marmion Academy's play, Wonderful Town, to watch Robert perform. The high schoolers did a wonderful job and Robert was especially funny! Everyone had a fun time and it's so nice to see my Aunt, Uncle, cousins and their family!

HAPPY B-DAY LINDSEY (& ST. PATRICK'S DAY)

Cannot believe my baby is 15 years old today - where did the time go? I can still remember almost everything about the day she was born. I love you Lindsey Briana!

1ST UNOFFICIAL PHOTO SHOOT

I convinced the girls to dress in somewhat matching tops so I could take some photos w/ my new camera! They were real troopers. We went to Angel Town Park, Hill Climb Park, and Cornish Park - all in Algonquin. It was a nice sunny 50 degree day so they enjoyed being outside enjoying the warmer weather. I was happy w/ how the photos turned out too!

PHOTOS FROM MY NEW CANON DREBEL XT!

Yeah me - and thanks to Rick! Even though I bought a new digital camera last May (which I totally love by the way), I've had my eye on a Canon Digital Rebel XT since just after xmas. I wish this "urge" would have happened sooner, like last May or at least before xmas, but it didn't. So, in anticipation of our upcoming cruise and more importantly, soccer season starting soon, I asked Rick about making this HUGE purchase. I explained the differences between my current Sony point and shoot camera and the Canon Rebel and must have made a convincing case, because he said OK! We researched a little more about the best price, flash cards, lenses, warranties, etc. and finally ordered it. I was SO HAPPY on the day I know the Fed Ex man was delivering it. I have a long way to go to fully utilizing all the possibilities but for now, I am happy w/ the auto mode and the photos are awesome (no red eye). I'm even hoping to take a Photography class from MCC or ECC. Thanks again to my awesome husband!

SNOW TUBING & CABIN FUN

Here we are at Cascade Mountain getting ready to Snow Tube. The girls each brought a friend which worked out wonderfully since they always had a buddy! And yes, even the adults snow tubed. The moving sidewalk which took you back to the top of the mountain was HUGE. The entire clan had a blast. Afterwards, we headed north to the cabin where we found 20 inches of snow waiting for us! Yikes!!! After some shoveling, we made into the cabin for some pizza and then watched "Duma" before going to bed. The next morning we had a BIG breakfast, they girls played in the snow and then we headed back home! More great memories!
