ANOTHER BUSY WEEKEND

The Dundee Cemetary & surrounding area suffered lots of damage in the recent storms so we drove by this weekend. This is just one of several large hundred year old trees that blew over - so sad.
Allie's soccer team participated in the Soccer tournament in Schaumburg and finish in 3rd place (out of 8 teams). Allie played goalie in the 2nd/3rd games and was AWESOME! In the 3rd game they played a great team and ended up tying 2-2. Allie had some tremendous saves for her team. So exciting and fun for the team to play under the lights at a night game.

In between soccer games, I drove to Geneva High School to watch Lindsey cheer her first game as a Sophomore Cheerleader. Unfortunately, the sophomore football team lost (big time) but the cheerleaders looked great!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

High School Musical 2

Compromise ...

Since we were traveling to Ohio to visit Rick's family and High School Musical 2 was premiering during our treck, we compromised by getting a hotel in Toledo (1 1/2 hours away from our destination) so we wouldn't have to miss the movie. Rachel (and the rest of us!) have been waiting a LONG TIME to see this and it didn't disappoint. The movie soundtrack come out the Tuesday before so we all had the songs on our ipods (and memorized). I think Disney has another hit; let's just say we all enjoyed it!

END OF JULY HAPPENINGS

Lindsey had a fun yet tiring time at cheer camp held the last week in July at NIU. We went and watched their competition on the last day of camp. The Soph. squad took home a first place and second place trophy. GO CHARGERS!

The previous week was Founder's Day activities around our town; here are 2 of my 3 favorite girls (L was marching w/ the cheerleaders in the parade).
