OCRACOKE ISLAND PHOTOS

One of our favorite things to do while at OBX is to visit Ocracoke Island. The beaches there are so beautiful and the sea is not as rough as the beach by the beachhouse. Here the girls are posing on the ferry taking us over to the island. Other photos are at the Ocracoke beach.

Ober Gatlinburg was fun: ski lift to the top of the mountain, bumper cars, human velcro jump, and a water ride.

A few photos from the Smoky Mtn. National Park. The first photo is of Laurel Falls where we hiked 1.3 miles (that's 2.6 roundtrip) to get to the falls.















Couldn't resist taking this photo of the girls trying to climb on the sign so I could a get a good photo. Too funny!













Yes, we saw BLACK BEAR! Actually, we saw two little cubs and their mother. One of the cubs was chasing a deer out of some brush and that's what caught Rick's eye.

PRE-JULY 4TH AT CABIN

Had a terrific weekend at the cabin: spent two beautiful days at Arrowhead Beach, the girls went tubing and swam in the lake, Rachel went knee-boarding for the first time, Allie tried knee-boarding but is much better at tubing, Lindsey attempted to waterski but couldn't quite get the hang of it, she preferred knee-boarding and tubing, Rick met the DNR (who just checked the jetski registration), we watched the ski show and fireworks at Sherwood Lodge on Sat. night. Fun and relaxing times the cabin! Loved it!!!
